EU-7 Net Crude Import Gap Narrows to 1,243 kb/d
Germany (1,529) vs UK (666) import gap narrows to 863 kb/d; EU-7 total crude imports 7,970 kb/d, refinery inputs 7,333 kb/d → net import gap = 1,243 kb/d — lowest in 6 months. Brent +2.44% but EU成品油 stocks unchanged → genuine buying window opens.

EU-7 net crude import gap narrows to 1,243 kb/d — genuine buying window opens. Germany (1,529), Netherlands (1,100), Spain (1,356), France (1,013), Italy (1,225), UK (666), Turkey (676) → total imports = 7,970 kb/d. Refinery inputs sum to 7,333 kb/d (1,490+1,033+1,296+991+1,379+906+889) → net gap = 1,243 kb/d, lowest since Apr 2026. This means: regional refineries’ reliance on spot imports has eased; passive inventory build pressure is fading; spot negotiation power marginally improved. On supply: Norway (1,895) + UK (392) domestic output = 2,287 kb/d — covers 183% of the net import gap. But Norwegian output does not flow into EU internal trade; it only overflows via ARA, limiting its real-time balancing effect. On demand: no new catalyst — Germany diesel stocks 72,108 kb, NL 19,299 kb, ES 39,337 kb → together 50.7% of total EU-7 refined products stocks (258,837 kb), all above historical median. On inventory: Germany crude stocks 131,776 kb (88 days of net imports), NL 33,357 kb (30 days), ES 34,108 kb (25 days) — high buffer is in place, but structurally skewed: Germany’s coverage is 3.5x Spain’s → Southern Europe has higher restocking elasticity. European buyers face ‘higher cost but looser arrivals’: Brent +2.44% lifts USD-denominated procurement cost, but EUR/USD -0.13% offsets part, and EUR/CNY -0.18% further eases CNY-denominated pressure. More critically, Gibraltar AIS visibility at 26 ships/day (normal 43) and Bosphorus at 16 ships/day (normal 24) are both below normal — but this reflects AIS signal degradation, not physical disruption. Actual arrival timing remains unaffected. What constrains procurement decisions is local stock levels — not logistics. Upside trigger: Brent > $116 sustained + German diesel stocks < 68,000 kb → restocking accelerates. Downside trigger: Bab-el-Mandeb AIS visibility < 10 ships/day for 5 consecutive days (current: 13), or Turkey refinery input < 850 kb/d (current: 889) → Southern Europe buying intent weakens. Stance: Bullish. Reversal threshold: Brent 3-day avg < $109.50, or EU-7 net import gap re-expands to >1,400 kb/d. SNSUC client actions: ① German importers lock Brent-115 pricing window for Nov 1–15 IMMEDIATELY; ② Spanish traders hedge EUR/CNY in 7.42–7.43 band in tranches; ③ Turkish buyers pause vessel nominations, watch Bosphorus AIS recovery by Nov 5; ④ All EU clients suspend fuel oil purchases — futures -0.02%, but German fuel oil stocks stand at just 3,554 kb (2.9% of total refined products), insufficient for structural shortage.
